Many have asked how they can help out in the runup to November's Election.  The most important thing to the Campaign right now is to get Mark out into the community and in front of voters.  To do that, friends and supporters are organizing small receptions in their homes.  Can you get four or five couples to come to your house to meet with Mark?  If so, let's schedule a time and get started.

These small scale events will give the people you know their best chance to meet the Candidate and get into the details of his positions, and their reactions to them.  These kinds of meetings offer the chance to really influence campaign policy by giving your opinions during the early going.

If you'd like to pitch in and do something meaningful to start changing the way we look at government, please call or write today and scheduled a meeting of your neighbors, in your house, with your candidate for US Representative.

Neighbors & Friends,

These are the early days of the Campaign when it's all about Organizing.  I am writing Position Papers and refining my message.  We are convening a Finance Committee to help deal with the critical but difficult issue of Fund Raising.  Also, I'm making contact with GOP Chairs from the cities & towns in the District, as well as with you.  It's all in hopes of building a network of People, Ideas, and Resources that will be in place and ready to go in the fall.

Please have a look at how these efforts are progressing.  Then let me know your thoughts by return E-Mail: mark@markz4ri.org

People Spend Their Money More Efficiently than Govenrment Does.  What Does That Suggest as Good Public Policy?

Campaign Positions
FlagIn the Early Going there's time to refine and articulate policy positions on the issues facing the nation.  Later on the daily schedule of campaign events will make it difficult to concentrate on all the implications of any new position that needs to be developed.  So now is the time to hear from you about what you think of Mark's top policy priorities: The Economy and Education, which are intimately interlocked as we move into a time where Intellectual Property means more to commerce than raw materials, factories, or even available labor.

We need to 'Do Capitalism Right'.  When we do, we will see our productive economy surge and with it our standard of living.  When that happens it will minimize, if not eliminate many of the other questions plaguing us today.

Please check out the web site for a growing list of my positions, then let me hear from you with your opinions.

Act Locally - Think Globally

Businesslike Economy /
          Businesslike Diplomacy
The Rules of transacting business are well known, even if we overlook or ignore them now and then.  If you run a business by the rules you have a much better chance that it will grow and prosper.

Today we live in a world where people everywhere are achieving a lifestyle that was only available here in America fifty years ago.  As they do, countries like India, Brazil, and China become trading partners who are largely at parity with the United States when it comes to economics.  Those of us following the Rules of Business just naturally adapt to the changing landscape of world commerce and deal as equals with them.

Perhaps we're not actually equals but it is both courteous and profitable to treat Trading Partners as partners.  This is a lesson that America will have to take to heart in its Diplomacy.  No one can top us militarily, but we cannot use force of arms to define every international relationship.  Gradually we need to treat every Diplomatic Partner as if they were a Trade Partner and seek the path of engagement with the realistic goal of mutually beneficial resolutions to all problems.
Thank You for following this campaign for Congress.  Please forward this E-Mail to friends and Neighbors who you think would be interested.  We all have to make an investment in better government.  If you think I am on the right track with my positions, please invest in me by staying in touch and offering your support as this election year progresses.
Sincerely,

Mark Zaccaria
