Leadership for a
Change
Rhode Island Meets
Mark
Zaccaria | | |
|
| Friends & Neighbors,
|
 Welcome to the Zaccaria for
Congress Campaign Show, and thanks for tuning in.
The week ahead will be another chance for me to
introduce myself to a new group of Rhode
Islanders. On Monday I meet in person
with the Sportsmen's Federation. On Tuesday
I'll be doing a radio interview in Westerly, with Dick
Anthony. On Thursday it's more Radio. This
time with George Castro. Each time I present
myself it's an opportunity to make a First Impression on
some of the people who will have to decide if they want
me to take over for their current Representative in
Congress. So that's what this week's Newsletter
is, too. A fresh look at me and my candidacy for
those who have just joined the audience. -

| Mark's Basic
Positions |
| These are
the Goals He's Dedicated to. This is how He'll
try to make Life Better for the Voters of
the District and the Rest of the Nation,
too. |
 - Mark
Zaccaria is Focused on the Productive Economy in
the US as the means of powering our
Prosperity. He wants to actively sell the
idea of reduced federal spending as a means to
relieve federal borrowing. That will make
more investment available for Capital Formation,
which will pump up the economy and improve the
value of the US Dollar.
- Mark sees Education as a key to the Economy
of the Future. What lies ahead is commerce
that's based on Intellectual Property, not Natural
Resources, or Production Facilities. Our
citizens have to be prepared to do things that
computers cannot do, and that
'Preparation' means 'Education.'
- Mark has shared experiences with the men
and women of the Second District that make him a
better Representative. He's been in the
Military, he's run small businesses and has been
an executive in larger corporations. He'd
been a husband and parent, raising three children.
Through it all he's been a Customer of government,
not a Product of it. All that means he will
know intuitively how any new initiative will
affect the people of the District, because it will
affect him in just the same way.

| Gov. Don Carcieri to Headline
Zaccaria Fundraiser |
 The Zaccaria
Campaign is proud to announce that Rhode Island Governor
Donald Carcieri has agreed to join their first Fund
Raising reception, in Providence, on Thursday Evening,
May 29th. The event will be held at Cassarino's
Restaurant, 117 Atwells Avenue, on Federal Hill, from 6
- 9:00pm.
Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia famously said
that Money is Speech. It's a harsh reality but the only
way to get government right is to elect the right
candidates. Mark may have a winning message but if
no one hears it we will be no better off after this
election than we were the last time. The Governor
has invested himself in Mark's candidacy, now you can,
too. Please buy a ticket to this event, or forward
this to a friend so they will, or better yet do
both. To get your invitation and all the details

Or to get a call from the candidate so you can get
the pitch straight from the horse's mouth, simply REPLY
to this E-Mail and make sure you include your
Number.
This is how we participate in the management of our
Republic in the run up to Election
Day. Your help and your support will
keep this campaign going and growing. Please turn
out to show that support on the 29th. We'll see
you there! |
| And the Governor is Not the Only
Activist in His Family... |
 At
last week's West Warwick GOP Fundraising Breakfast,
Rhode Island First Lady Sue Carcieri spent time with
Mark to outline her hopes for how he could run a winning
campaign. She was thoughtful and she certainly has
the benefit of experience on the Campaign Trail.
Best of all she's willing to back up her ideas with
actions.
You'll see that, yourself, if you join her and the
rest of the RI GOP Elite at next week's
inaugural Reagan-Lincoln reception. It's
Wednesday Evening at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet.
There's still time for you to get a ticket. If you
do, you'll be backing up your political beliefs with
actions just like Sue Carcieri always does. Who knows,
maybe the experience will be so satisfying that you'll
be energized to take a hand in Mark's Congressional
Campaign or in any of the other local, state, and
federal races that our party is contending in the run-up
to Election Day.
Do you believe that smaller, less intrusive
government is needed to give the private sector some
breathing room to again become the agent of growth
it always has been in our nation? Then you've got
to do something to help make
that happen, just like Sue or Mark or any of the other
activists you'll be hearing from in the weeks
ahead. Go for it!

Last Week I pointed out that Change is always under
way and that the real question is how well or poorly we
will manage the process. I'm certainly trying to
bring about positive change in the Second Congressional
District of Rhode Island, and beyond. Now it's
time for you to decide if you want to put an oar in the
water and pull, too. If we all raise our voices
together we can cut expenditures at both the state and
federal levels to bring our budgets into balance and our
local economies into a period of substantial
growth.
As I said then, my campaign slogan also trades on
the current fashion for pointing to change, I put
my emphasis on the first word, though, not the
last. I hope you will, too.
Leadership for a
Change!
Sincerely,
Mark Zaccaria Mark Zaccaria for Congress
